Format selection

Workshop
Interactive teaching event for exchanging practical skills. Focused on knowledge transfer, practical application and discussion –active participation desired. Workshops take place in group rooms on the EUREF campus. The number of participants is limited. Duration: 90 minutes
Symposium
A conference-like event with lectures, discussions, and presentations. It focuses on the exchange of scientific knowledge and ideas in a specific field. The symposia will take place in group rooms on the EUREF campus. The number of participants is limited. Duration: 90 minutes
Plenum
The main program, which takes place on both days of the event in the main hall and on the main stage (in parallel with the workshops on day 1).
Interactive discussion
Whether knowingly or unknowingly, the discourse on the triad of health, the environment and sustainability is characterized by misinformation and political opinions. In order to counter science denial and bring about meaningful change in the industry, communication must be seen and used even more purposefully as a tool for society as a whole. In this interactive discussion format, we will explore together with experts and the audience how we can make better use of communication strategies and channels to encourage an informed and empowered society.
Following a keynote speech with insights into current research on planetary health behavior and practical experiences in climate communication, we will open the stage to the audience. Using specific case studies, we will analyze with the participants and proven experts how disinformation arises, how it can be dealt with and what approaches we can use to promote science-based communication. You are cordially invited to become a participant and actively contribute - from the audience or at times on the stage podium. The aim of the discussion format is to show ways in which science, politics and civil society can contribute to promoting a community of solidarity in times of climate change through effective communication.

Cancellation policy Registrations can be canceled free of charge up to 14 days before the start of the event. For cancellations made 13 calendar days or less before the event, 50% of the participation fee will be charged. For cancellations made 7 calendar days or less before the start of the event, as well as for no-shows and early departures, the full participation fee will be charged. You are welcome to nominate a substitute to us by email without incurring a fee.
